Learn more about becoming a Law Student Division leader

Last month, we told you about joining our Board of Governors for the 2016-2017 year. The Jan. 15 deadline is fast approaching to get your application in for chair, vice-chair, secretary-treasurer, rep to the ABA’s Board of Governors, Student Lawyer student editor, or one of our 15 circuit governorships.

Still not sure on whether to hit that send button on your candidacy? The Law Student Division will be holding a Google Hangout on Monday, Jan. 11, to talk about our positions, their responsibilities, and to answer your questions. No registration is necessary, but please RSVP on the Google Hangout page.

Our national leadership positions are not only opportunities to network with lawyers, judges, professionals, and fellow law students. You’ll be working on the future of the division – and the legal profession at large. Our leaders work on policy and lobbying efforts with the ABA on issues such as Public Service Loan Forgiveness, credit and pay for internships, and legal education in general.

So prep your application and get ready for a challenging and rewarding opportunity with us. Learn the ins and outs of these roles from the law students who have held them. And the panelists will answer your questions live.

We’re looking forward to meeting you!
