Law students are invited to submit articles addressing domestic and sexual violence and the law from a national or international perspective. Submissions should further the legal needs of victims of domestic and sexual violence or their children or advance efforts to address the incidence, causes and effects of intimate partner violence.
In addition to the quality of writing, papers will be judged on their integration of social science research, legal research, and subject matter expert research.

The first place winner will receive national recognition from the ABA Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence, a $500 honorarium, publication in the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law, and national publicity via our website and social media. The second and third place winners will receive national recognition from the ABA Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence and national publicity via our website and social media.
