Heidi Weaver Heidi Weaver worked as a civil litigator in San Diego for 10 years before leaving her practice to become a Zumba instructor. In one of those networking twists of fate, Heidi was teaching an after-school Zumba class at her kids’ elementary school when she met the Assistant Dean of the Career & Professional Development Office at California Western School of Law, who happened to be hiring. Heidi has been counseling law students ever since and doing some volunteer asylum work. She is a graduate of Scripps College and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

On-Campus Interviews: Bouncing back after not getting a job offer

As I write this article, there is a hiring freeze in effect due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and nobody is certain when the next on-campus interviews will take place. What is certain is that there will be another recruiting season, and law students’ employment prospects will improve.
