The ABA Section of Litigation will begin accepting applications for its Summer 2020 Judicial Intern Opportunity Program on November 4, 2019 for second-year law students and December 1, 2019 for first-year students.
The program is a full-time (32 hours per week), six-week, summer internship program open to all first-or second-year diverse law students. In addition to the internship, you will receive a $2,000 award that you can spend on as many Burger King ’10 nuggets for $1′ as you’d like (or something more practical if you must.)
The mission of the Judicial Intern Opportunity Program is to provide opportunities to students who are members of groups traditionally underrepresented in the profession.
If you have a special interest in Intellectual Property Law, you can indicate it on your application and have the chance to spend the summer in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Texas or Washington, DC. However, these specialized spots are limited and any student applying to the program with a request for specialization will also be considered for general litigation internships.
The deadline to apply is Friday, January 10, 2020.
