Have you thought about improving your community but don’t know where to start? Join us as we spotlight the critical importance of young lawyers’ meaningful involvement at every level of government and provide you with the tools to make a difference in the issues you care about.
The American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division aims to develop the next generation of dynamic and innovative leaders through civic engagement. This summit emphasizes the importance of young lawyers being actively involved in their communities, running for office, serving on local, state, and non-profit boards and commissions, and advocating for issues relevant to young lawyers and our profession.
Programming will explore and highlight conversations of critical importance, including police oversight, representation in government, non-traditional forms of civic engagement, and the basics of running for office. This special virtual event features several elected officials including mayors, prosecutors, and members of Congress as well as prominent social activists.
